Rihanna Steals the Spotlight on Shakira's New Track!

Shakira teamed up with fellow popstar Rihanna to make your Monday morning a little more bearable. Shakira's new single, "Can't Remember to Forget You", features the best vocals delivered by Rihanna on a feature in a while. Goes to show that Rih shines bright like a diamond on features when given more than just a hook on a rap song. Thankfully, this not another "S&M Remix" scenario with awkward chemistry and even worse signing. Shakira is certainly out-shined here, but judge it for yourself on the track below!

     The 3rd single from Chris brown's new album, "X", has finally dropped. Breezy performed a snippet of the song with Nicki Minaj at the BET Awards this year, and the final version dropped Monday morning (7/22). Definitely a dancing tune, enjoy it below!

Justin Timberlake Takes Back The Night

After leaving fans wondering on Thursday night when he posted a mysterious date on various social media platforms, Justin Timberlake took to Youtube Friday afternoon to post his new song. "Take Back The Night", the lead single from the second of JT's "20/20 Experience" Project, is full of horns in the dance-happy tune. The direct MJ inspiration in the song is more than apparent, with everyone from Billboard mag to Power 105.1's Charlemagne  noticing the similarities to "Off the Wall" . Listen below!

Lacking #Willpower

                    

                    Three years of waiting, and Will.i.am’s sophomore solo album has finally surfaced. After going through names changes (the tentative title was once Black Einstein), and some less-than-stellar attempts at lead singles (“Check It Out” was planned as a joint single between the BEP front-man and Nicki Minaj),  #Willpower has finally arrived. With the 2008 reinvention of the Black Eyed Peas in what the group described as “the digital afterlife”, Will changed singularly as an artist as well. And what a shame that is. His knack for making innovative hip hop that helped bring the Black Eyed Peas into the mainstream spectrum is absent here, while noticeably replaced with electronic dance music with little novelty to display. Where as Will’s raspy but charismatic vocals used to serve as an asset, his synthetically convoluted voice sounds like a bad advertisement for the T-Pain auto-tune app. From the beginning of the album’s first track, “Good Morning”, the artist’s synthetic crooning let’s you know that he’s still  living in that digital afterlife. Or rather, he’s stuck in it.  The problem is that the sound utilized throughout the album is dated rather than futuristic. While the hashtags and features are pleads of relevancy, the content to back it up is a perpetuated sound that is sonically akin to almost every other generic EDM song. The sound was somewhat inventive in 2008, but is far from new in the current pop atmosphere. However, there are a few guilty pleasures on the album. “This is Love” provides an anthemic dance track that demands blasting in the car and the clubs.

Ciara Releases Remix to Body Party w/ Future & B.O.B.

As if lending his acting skills to Cici's new music video wasn't enough, Future lends his vocals as well to the remix of "Body Party" along with rapper B.O.B. The Remix adds in an new uptempo beat. Whereas B.O.B.'s contribution to the song feels natural and fits right in, Future's sounds forced. And awkward. Hear it for yourself, below:
