Joe Jonas and Rachel Platten Reveal 2016 AMA Nominees

 Pop music “stans” have more to butt heads over online as Monday morning (10/10) came with the announcement of this year’s American Music Award nominees.





   “Fight Song” singer Rachel Platten announced the full list of nominees alongside DNCE singer Joe Jonas on Good Morning America. Jonas is proving you can have your cake by the ocean and eat it too, as the 27 year-old’s band found themselves on the list of contenders this year. The awards are given out based on an online voting system open to all fans and Twitter users.

   Drake’s “Views”  continued its record-smashing dominance in the industry with 13 nominations. October’s very own is in good company, contending with the likes of Rihanna, Adele, and Beyonce. More of a performance event than recognition of excellence, the American Music Awards are set to air on ABC November 20th. Check out the full list of nominees below.
